The main equipment for refrigerated transportation is transportation vehicles. There are various forms of refrigerated transportation vehicles in booming countries, including railway refrigerated spinach trucks, refrigerated containers, refrigerated trucks, refrigerated trailers, refrigerated semi-trailers, and railway road mobile refrigerated vehicle bodies. In the competition, there is a trend of railway refrigerated cars gradually being overturned by refrigerated containers and road refrigerated cars. In China, railway refrigerated trucks are still one of the essential tools for remote refrigerated transportation. The characteristics of railway refrigerated cars are: thermal insulation of the body, good air tightness, cooling device inside the car. In warm seasons, the temperature inside the car can be maintained lower than the outside temperature. In cold seasons, refrigerated cars can also be used for transportation without cold insulation or heating with thermal appliances (mechanical refrigerated cars). The temperature inside the car can be maintained higher than the outside temperature. But due to its main purpose of refrigeration, it is still called a refrigerated vehicle.

Basic requirements for refrigerated trucks

① Featuring a superior insulated body to reduce thermal exchange between the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The thermal insulation performance of refrigerated trucks is represented by the total heat transfer coefficient K. The smaller the K value, the less heat magic can be transmitted into the car through the body enclosure structure during unit time. With the emergence of new insulation materials such as polyacrylonitrile and formic acid, as well as the trial production and successful application of sandwich insulation structures, modern refrigerated trucks have reduced their heat transfer coefficient to below 0.23 W/(m2 · K).

② Equipped with useful refrigeration and heating equipment to establish thermal balance inside the vehicle and maintain the required stable temperature.

③ Equipped with loading equipment and ventilation circulation equipment to ensure reasonable loading of goods, ensuring average temperature inside the vehicle, and the possibility of air exchange when needed.

④ Equipped with reliable side monitoring instruments to accurately reflect the temperature status inside the vehicle.

A refrigerated truck can maintain a certain temperature inside the car. It is precisely relying on these conditions that the heat transmitted from the outside and the heat emitted by the goods themselves are continuously absorbed by the cold air inside the car, establishing a thermal balance inside the car.
